Saint Martin?s University, a private Catholic, Benedictine university located in western Washington, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position as Electronic Services Librarian.

In addition to coordinating and enhancing the library?s electronic resources and services, the Electronic Services Librarian participates in O?Grady Library?s information literacy program, providing library instruction and reference assistance in individual, classroom, and online settings. As a liaison to specific academic departments, the librarian coordinates collection development in those disciplines and provides research instruction for students. As a faculty member, the librarian is committed not only to effectiveness in carrying out his or her duties as a librarian, but also to continued professional growth and service to the University and the profession.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Master?s degree in library science from an ALA-Accredited institution

Experience in web development and/or with electronic resource licensing and management

Aptitude and passion for teaching and reference within a diverse educational setting

Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all library departments and university offices

Be supportive of Saint Martin?s Benedictine tradition of education.

Preferred Qualifications:

Second master?s degree in a discipline relevant to the university

Experience providing instruction and reference in an academic library

Experience coordinating the implementation of new technologies to enhance library or other instructional service

Supervisory experience.
